Alan has been a full time musician for 32 years. He grew up in Sacramento and moved to Los Angeles in 1977. After working the club circuit for a couple of years, he began freelancing as a bass player and singer with the Righteous Brothers, The Platters, Little Anthony and the Imperials, to name a few.

During his years as a studio musician, he worked for all kinds of clients ranging from
individual songwriters to Toyota commercials. In addition, he ran a studio in Van Nuys
for 10 years working with musicians from Chick Corea, Tower of Power, Sheila E. etc.
Alan recorded his own album at Madhatter Studios owned by Chick Corea, and worked
jazz gigs all over Southern Ca., as well as a stint at Disneyland.

Since returning to Sacramento in 2003, he has had the pleasure of working with Shelley Burns, Objects in the Mirror, Lorraine Gervais, Ivan Najera, Steve Holland and Tom McDonald, Steve Boutte, Aaron King, Gigi Amos, and others.
